Guy cotten

Guy Cotten

Guy Cotten, serving sailors since 1964

It all began in 1964, when Guy Cotten and his wife developed the first Guy Cotten Oilskin using PVC. Allowing multiple layers while being lighter, the Guy Cotten marine oilskin was quickly used by many sailors. Since then, the brand has refined its technique and uses it for other products, such as Guy Cotten trousers, Guy Cotten smocks, Guy Cotten bags and a wide range of marine accessories.

The famous brand manufactures all its products in France in Brittany, in its Guy Cotten factory in Tregunc, south of Concarneau.

The Cotten oilskin, a must-have for protection from the elements

The first of all Guy Cotten oilskins was the Rosbras Cap Coz Guy Cotten oilskin jacket, which completely revolutionised the sea clothing of the time to the point of remaining, even today, the brand's logo. The technical characteristics of this Guy Cotten oilskin have hardly changed since its creation. The recipe for Guy Cotten's yellow oilskin has remained the same: a coated oilskin canvas to protect you from the elements and a wide cut that allows great freedom of movement. The only major addition to this Cotten Oilskin: the "Magic" hood, added to the yellow oilskin in 2006.

The yellow oilskin brand created this hood so that it can rotate with the movements of your head. Another Guy Cotten oilskin that has become a brand best-seller is the Ciré Isoder Jaune Guy Cotten jacket. The success of this Cotten oilskin among sailors is its value for money. In stock from S to XXL for less than 70 euros, you will be surprised by the waterproofness of this oilskin in Glentex fabric, a Guy Cotten exclusive. A children's version also exists.

Guy Cotten trousers, the know-how of the yellow oilskin brand in oilskin trousers

Over time, Guy Cotten has perfected its know-how and applied it to other products. This is how Guy Cotten smocks and dungarees were born. Using the same process as for its oilskins, Guy Cotten has created waterproof trousers that will perfectly protect you from rain and splashes. Guy Cotten's flagship model is the Pouldo Glentex Guy Cotten oilskin trousers. Once again, the value for money offered by Guy Cotten is simply unbeatable. Made of Glentex fabric with welded seams, these Guy Cotten trousers made in Brittany cost less than 35 euros.

Another Guy Cotten trouser that has become a classic, the Pouldo CapCoz Guy Cotten yellow oilskin trousers. Thanks to its elastic waistband and welded seams, these oilskin trousers will adapt perfectly to your morphology and will effectively protect you from the elements. The Pouldo Cap Coz Guy Cotten trousers are comfortable thanks to the soft inner fabric and remain flexible for greater freedom of movement on the boat. Guy Cotten trousers can be found on our Guy Cotten online shop.

Guy Cotten bags: on the road to success!
