Vagnon
Vagnon editions were founded in 1963 by Henri Vagnon, a civil servant in the navigation service. He created on his own initiative a preparation manual for the pleasure craft license, inland waters option, then called "river license". This first manual marks the official creation of the Vagnon code, which will give rise to a complete collection of guides and manuals for boaters.
VAGNON CODE: FOR LEARNING THE BOAT LICENSE
The Vagnon Code is now the official training support for the various boat licenses. It enjoys great recognition in the maritime field and is published in partnership with the Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition.
Vagnon also offers technical books on navigation, boat maintenance and maritime regulations, as well as books on fishing, diving and nautical guides, including the French version of , a global reference in the field of navigation guide.
VAGNON BOOKS AND CODES FOR SALE ON NAUTISPORTS
In 2012, Vagnon editions were taken over by the Fleurus group, which thus broadened their editorial line, while maintaining their connection with the sea. The Vagnon catalog has been enriched with books for young people, DIY and leisure manuals, beautiful books and pop-ups, as well as books on ecology and maritime history. Vagnon likes to define itself as the publisher of the sea, thanks in particular to its famous Vagnon Code for learning the pleasure craft license, coastal option.
In parallel with their production focused on yachting and water sports, as with Le Vagnon de la Voile, Vagnon also develops a range of books on survival and first aid. All Vagnon books are available online on our site, to be found in the section where you can also find our navigation charts, nautical guides and for exam preparation.
