Solar Charger for Electric Outboard Motors Epropulsion

SOLAR CHARGER FOR EPROPULSION ELECTRIC OUTBOARD MOTORS: MPPT TECHNOLOGY SOLAR ENERGY OPTIMIZATION.

This solar charger for ePropulsion electric outboard motors is designed to recharge the batteries of SPIRIT 1.0 PLUS and SPIRIT 1.0 EVO motors. The integrated MPPT technology, with an efficiency exceeding 99.9%, ensures maximum solar energy yield by optimizing the power point of the photovoltaic cells. The solar charger is compatible with solar modules having an open circuit voltage (Uoc or Voc) less than 35 V, or with other 12 V power sources.

Thanks to the supplied 12 V connection cable, it is possible to connect the solar charger to a vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. This allows the outboard motor battery to be charged during journeys. A powerful foldable solar module is available separately for optimal use of the solar charger.

The solar charger has the following technical specifications: a charging voltage range of 39 V, solar energy of 180 W Max, input power of 10 A Max and a charging current of 3 A Max. It consumes less than 20 mA and can be used or stored in a temperature range from -35 to +60° C. Its protection rating is IP65.

The delivery content includes the solar charge controller, a 12 V cigarette lighter connection cable (1.5 m, cable section 2x 16AWG (1.5 mm²)) with integrated cigarette lighter socket and 20A fuse (6 x 32 mm), as well as a tool for loosening the MC4 connector connections. The dock extensions consist of 0.85 m of battery connection cable (2x 16 AWG (approximately 1.5 mm²)) and 0.65 m of MC-4 solar panel connection cable (2x 14 AWG). The total weight is 1.25 kg and the dimensions are 153 x 101 x 49 mm.
