This RescueMe PLB3 Ocean Signal AIS & EPIRB beacon is a revolutionary personal locator beacon incorporating the latest technologies for your safety at sea: AIS, EPIRB and NFC.
The AIS function alerts nearby vessels to your position, maximizing your chances of rescue. EPIRB technology confirms receipt of your distress message with a flashing blue light, ensuring that help is on the way. And thanks to NFC, you can access beacon data from your smartphone (battery life, self-tests performed, view GNSS test data on a map).
STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY AND NETWORKS
In addition to AIS, the PLB3 Ocean Signal uses the global Cospas Sarsat system for precise positioning to within 100 meters. It emits a 121.5 MHz locating signal to guide emergency services to your position. It also features a 72-channel GRPS receiver compatible with GPS, Galileo and Glonass.
The PLB3 beacon is designed to be integrated into lifejackets, triggering automatically when inflated. If you prefer not to install it in a lifejacket, simply use the included strap clip to attach it to your belt or an unsinkable vest.
