MCMURDO EPIRB MANUAL DUAL FREQUENCY G8M DISTRESS BEACON : PRECISE AND FAST GEOLOCATION

The McMurdo G8M Manual Dual Frequency EPIRB beacon is the reference insafety equipment at sea.

The new generation of EPIRB G8 beacons use GNSS receivers and are fully MEOSAR compatible, allowing for greater accuracy and speed of location.

The McMurdo beacon has access to 72 GNSS channel receivers on the GPS (USA), Galileo (Europe) and GLONASS (Russia) satellites. All of these receivers allow for fast detection of your vessel, as well as a very accurate location of the beacon.

AN EPIRB DISTRESS BEACON DESIGNED TO LAST

The EPIRB G8M McMurdo beacon has been designed to be both robust and practical. McMurdo has developed a number of technologies to make it easier for navigators.

SmartChange Battery technology allows for easy battery replacement in case of failure. Smartlight offers the beacon a flash light function with a powerful 360° radiation.

The SmartBase is a special impact plastic reinforcement located at the base of the beacon, coupled with the SmartTransfer which is a security support to avoid accidental activations. The SmartSwitch technology is a special system in the beacon that also prevents accidental activations.
