The Ocean Signal EDF2 Electronic Flare is an electronic distress flare (eVDSD) designed to signal an emergency situation at sea using a red-orange and cyan LED SOS light signal. Equipped with an infrared (IR) flash, it facilitates detection by equipped rescue teams. Visible for over 8 miles, it offers a minimum battery life of 3 hours, floats automatically, and rights itself on the water's surface.
DESIGNED FOR THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT
The Ocean Signal EDF2 Electronic Flare features an IP67 waterproof design suitable for spray, rain, and marine conditions. Its lighting system with 17 high-efficiency LEDs diffuses a signal visible over an angle greater than 180°. Operating with 8 replaceable CR123 lithium batteries (not included), it contains no pyrotechnics and has no expiration date related to signaling consumables.
