The Spinlock Vito AFS 170N Hammar Lifejacket is the updated version for 2026 of the VITO vest, the benchmark vest for offshore sailing. This lifejacket with harness, certified CE, combines a buoyancy of 170N, a remarkable finish in ultra-resistant ripstop fabric and ergonomics designed for intensive use in offshore racing and cruising.
Equipped with the AFS (Advanced Flotation System), the VITO AFS incorporates a revolutionary 3D buoyancy chamber, directly linked to the shape of the vest. The buoyancy is thus placed where it is most effective, offering a optimized rotation, a increased freeboard and a remarkable stability in the water. The very low shape of the inflated bladder significantly improves maneuverability in the water and freedom of movement, while being more compact, lighter and more flexible than a traditional 2D bladder. The vest also benefits from a structured cut for easy donning, a precise adjustment for each use and a latest generation Deckvest 6D style closure buckle.
A JACKET WITH HAMMAR HYDROSTATIC RELEASE SYSTEM
The VITO AFS vest is equipped with the Hammar® automatic hydrostatic release system, positioned at the back of the vest to limit the risk of snagging and damage during use. Inflation is triggered by water pressure, ideal for long offshore crossings.
The Harness Release System (HRS™) is mounted as standard on this model and allows a simple and quick release of the harness from a lanyard, even under load.
The vest is also equipped with a large 40 mm sub-cutaneous strap with storage, central attachment buckles for devices such as remote control of pilot or MOB alarms, a approved attachment point for PLB beacon, a attachment point for optional Chest Pack (Chest Pack DW-PCC), as well as a structured sprayhood limiting the risk of secondary drowning. For visibility, the buoyancy chamber uses a combination of high visibility pink and yellow colors, reinforced by the Pylon Lifejacket Light™ and the integrated Lume-On™ lights integrated.
