The MVG GEL BATTERY 12V Mastervolt is a reliable and maintenance-free power solution for your boat. Its innovative design, based on the gelling of the electrolyte, offers excellent resistance to deep discharges and an increased lifespan.

Thanks to its hermetic casing, this GEL BATTERY can be installed in confined spaces without risk of leakage or gas emission. The absence of maintenance and the possibility of installation in any position make it particularly suitable for mobile uses and demanding environments.
DURABLE PERFORMANCE
Designed for intensive cyclic use, the MVG Mastervolt battery is ideal as a service battery for boats and motorhomes. Its low self-discharge rate also makes it suitable for applications requiring a continuous power supply, such as alarm systems and solar installations. Although less suitable for high starting currents, it can be used as a replacement for a conventional lead-acid battery by checking the CCA value (cold cranking amps).

Remarks on installation and use
For optimal operating conditions and a long service life, it is essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions, which can be found in the installation and operating manual.
- Installation
If several batteries are installed directly next to each other, a distance of > 1 cm should be maintained.
*MASTERVOLT recommends installation in an upright position - Charge
- Use a 3-stage IU and temperature compensated charger
(for a 12 V battery - 30 mV/°C) - Charging current: 10 up to max. 50% of nominal capacity
- Absorption charge - 14.25 volts at 25° C (max. 5 hours)
- Floating charge - 13.8 volts at 25° C
- Tip: weekly recharge to 100%
- Batteries should be charged when the open circuit voltage drops below 12.3 volts.
(*The open circuit voltage measurement assumes that no further chemical processes are taking place in the battery, which is guaranteed if the battery has not been charged or discharged for approximately 3-5 hours).

- Recommended DOD* 50%
(*DOD = Depth Of Discharge - depth of discharge - Regular discharge of more than 60% of the battery's nominal capacity shortens its lifespan.
The battery must be fully recharged immediately after being discharged. - The final discharge voltage must not fall below the value stated in the operating instructions (page 9).
Important: The final discharge voltage depends on the discharge current.

- Recommended operating temperature: 20° C
Note: The operating temperature has a great influence on the life of the battery.
A 10° increase in operating temperatures alters the life of the battery; at low temperatures, the available capacity decreases. - Storage temperature: -40° to 55° C
Due to strict transport regulations, these batteries can only be transported by authorized carriers. Increased delivery costs (shipping) are to be expected. Does not apply if you pick up the batteries yourself.
