Osculati galvanized steel silent block is an engine mount designed to reduce vibrations transmitted from your inboard engine to the hull of your boat, whether it is a sailboat or a motorboat.
This Osculati galvanized steel silent block ensures smooth transmission and minimizes vibrations, thus improving comfort on board. It is compatible with many brands of marine engines and allows perfect alignment of the engine with the propeller shaft, whether you have a shaft drive or saildrive system.
Regular maintenance of this Osculati galvanized steel silent block is important. Regular visual inspection is recommended. If the rubber shows cracks or fissures, it is advisable to replace the silent block. It is recommended to change all four silent blocks simultaneously.
Each Osculati galvanized steel silent block is sold individually. The female threading is designed for studs sold separately. The hardness of the rubber is 55 Shore (+-3). The maximum load capacity varies depending on the model (see reference table for dimensions and maximum load).
Note that for a dynamic load, 30% of the indicated static weight must be subtracted. For example, a 70 kg static engine represents a dynamic load of 100 kg.
