OSCULATI STAINLESS STEEL SILENT BLOCK: ANTI-VIBRATION MOUNT FOR INBOARD ENGINE
Osculati stainless steel silent block is a stainless steel silent block designed for inboard boat engines. It ensures proper alignment of the engine and propeller shaft while reducing vibrations transmitted to the hull.
This silent block is ideal for replacing worn anti-vibration mounts. Silent block wear is common on boats used in harsh conditions, such as sailboats sailing with heel or fishing boats operating in rough seas. Preventive replacement of these silent blocks prevents damage to important components such as the propeller shaft or the hydrolube bearing.
The Osculati stainless steel silent block is adaptable to many engine brands, including Yanmar, Volvo, Nanni, Beta, Vetus, Midif and Renault Couach. It is sold individually, but it is advisable to change all four silent blocks simultaneously for optimal efficiency. It has a female thread for studs (sold separately) and is made with a 55 Shore (+-3) hardness rubber.
Different dimensions are available, with variable static and dynamic load capacities depending on the model. For a dynamic load, 30% of the statically supported weight must be subtracted. For example, a 70 kg static engine represents 100 kg dynamically.
