POD DRIVE 6.0 EVO EPROPULSION: QUIET CARBONLESS OUTBOARD ELECTRIC MOTOR

The Pod Drive 6.0 Evo Epropulsion is an electric outboard propulsion system designed for boat use. It is particularly suitable for sailboats and provides an ecological alternative to traditional internal combustion engines. This Pod Drive 6.0 Evo delivers power equivalent to approximately 9.9 horsepower (6 kW) and is recommended for boats under 2.7 tons.

These POD Drive type propulsion systems are compact, silent, carbonless, and maintenance-free electric motors. They are compatible with a 48 V power supply. Designed with an optimized hydrodynamic profile, the Pod Drive offers excellent energy efficiency, maximizing the boat's range. It incorporates an energy recovery function, allowing battery recharging when sailing between 3 and 10 knots. The sound level is limited to 55 dB. Its design allows it to operate in saltwater, freshwater, and brackish water.

ePropulsion E-series LiFePO4 batteries are recommended to power the Pod Drive, offering capacities of 2048 Wh, 4096 Wh, and 8960 Wh. These batteries have a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) for optimal management and increased safety. Installation is facilitated by the included communication module and the 5-meter COM cable for connection to the battery.

The Pod Drive 6.0 Evo offers different types of controls, designed to be intuitive and responsive, with a digital display of essential information (voltage, charge, range...). An electric start button and a magnetic emergency stop key are included for safe operation. The maximum thrust is 102 kg. It offers continuous speed levels. A GPS is integrated. The total weight of the motor is 31 kg.
