MLI ULTRA 12V / 24V 100AH MASTERVOLT LITHIUM BATTERY FOR BOAT: DURABLE AND RELIABLE LITHIUM POWER
The MLI Ultra 12V / 24V 100Ah Mastervolt lithium battery for boat is designed for those looking for a robust and efficient power solution for their boat. It offers high operational reliability while being compact and lightweight, ideal for optimizing space on board.
PERFORMANCE AND FLEXIBILITY
Mastervolt's MLI Ultra lithium batteries offer a capacity of 1250 Wh, equivalent to 100 Ah for the 12V version and 50 Ah for the 24V version, with 80% usable capacity. They are distinguished by their high amperage, making them perfect for engine starting, bow thruster power, and as service batteries. The 12V version provides 100A continuously, 200A for a few minutes, and a peak current of 500A. The 24V version offers 50A continuously, 100A for a few minutes, and a peak current of 250A. They support high charging currents, allowing for quick recharging.
These MLI Ultra batteries are also distinguished by their installation flexibility. They can be mounted in parallel or in series for 24V, 36V or 48V electrical systems (up to 4 units, max voltage 48V), offering a scalable solution for your energy needs on board. Their IP65 waterproof housing allows for flat or side positioning, and they are equipped with an integrated on/off switch and a status LED. Integration into the network is ensured by the MasterBus, CZone or N2k interfaces.
The integrated Battery Management System (BMS) ensures complete protection against deep discharge, overcurrent, overvoltage and overheating. It includes cell balancing for optimal performance and extended lifespan. In addition, the BMS manages cell warming, allowing charging at temperatures below 0°C.
If you are considering a revamp of your batteries and charging technology or are aiming for a particularly robust "lithium power pack" that offers maximum operational reliability while being compact and lightweight, then you've come to the right place!
The MIL Ultra MASTERVOLT 12 and 24 volt lithium batteries have a capacity of 1250 Wh. This is equivalent to 100 Ah for the MLI Ultra 12 volts 12/1250 or 50 Ah for the MLI Ultra 24 volts 24/1250. 80% is usable (factory settings). MASTERVOLT's MLI Ultra lithium batteries have a high amperage, making them suitable batteries for starting the engine, bow thrusters or as service batteries. The MLI Ultra 12/1250 can provide 100A continuously, 200A for a few minutes and a peak current of 500A (<10 sec). As for the MLI Ultra 24/1250, it can provide 50A continuously, 100A for a few minutes and a peak current of 250A. These two types of MLI Ultra batteries are quick to recharge and support very high charging currents. If the power source is powerful enough, it only takes a few hours to fully charge the battery. The recommended charging current is 0.5C, which is the equivalent of 50A for the 12V version or 25A for the 24V version.
The dimensions of the housings are similar to those of other lead-acid, AGM or gel batteries, but MLI Ultra batteries weigh only half as much as a conventional battery, i.e. 15 kg. To increase capacities for use on a 24, 36 or 48V electrical system, parallel or series connections are possible (2 or 4 units max. per battery bank, max. system voltage 48V, do not mix MLI Ultra 12 and 24V). Series or parallel connection with lead-acid, AGM or gel batteries is not possible!
MLI Ultras are shock and vibration resistant. Thanks to their solid and waterproof housing (IP65), it is possible to position the batteries flat (recommended) or lying on their side. With integrated on/off switch and LED indicating status. Communication interfaces for system integration into a MasterBus, Czone or N2k network. A high-end integrated battery management system (BMS) controls and monitors all functions reliably. It protects against deep discharge, overcurrent, overvoltage/undervoltage of the cell and overheating, and includes highly efficient cell balancing to ensure optimized performance and optimal lifespan. The BMS also controls cell warming, allowing the battery to be charged at temperatures below 0°, an option that many other LiFePO4 batteries do not offer.
MASTERVOLT MLI Ultras can be charged with all MASTERVOLT battery chargers (e.g. ChargeMaster PLUS) or with chargers from other manufacturers as long as they are lithium-ion compatible and meet the required charging parameters.
Delivery contents: 1x SAE car terminal adapter set with M8 allen screw, 2x M8 screws, U-lugs and split washers for direct cable lug/screw connections, 1x handle, 2x fixing strap, 1x MasterBus terminal resistor, 1x MasterBus cable (1 m), 1x Czone cable (1 m), 1x AUX cable (2 m) for optional functions (switch/charge level monitoring), concise instruction manual.

Remarks
- All MASTERVOLT lithium batteries are designed to automatically stop charging!
The BMS sends the command to stop charging, which turns off the connected MASTERVOLT charging technology (chargers, DC/DC converters or high-performance regulators) via a MASTERVOLT connection. Each lithium battery and each charging source must be configured using a USB interface (optional accessory) and MasterAdjust software. - The order to stop charging must be executed immediately!
For non-MASTERVOLT charging technologies (alternators, shore power, solar regulators, wind turbines, etc.) a powerful relay is optionally provided, controlled by the AUX cable (supplied with delivery) and interrupts the connection between the charging source and the lithium battery. (Even with third-party technology, the configuration and the order to stop charging must be set via USB interface and with MasterAdjust software). - The MLI Ultra is supplied ready for use in a MasterBus network or as a single battery.
For CZone and advanced functions, the settings must be adjusted. Most parameters can be adjusted using DIP switches.
Advanced or network parameters are configured using a Windows computer or notebook, either via an optional USB interface and the free MasterAdjust software or with the CZone configuration tool/program. The MasterAdjust software is available free of charge on www.mastervolt.com in the "downloads" section. - The MLI Ultra records the following histories: The number of charging cycles, the date of the last full charge (100%), the total capacity used and the highest and lowest voltages of the battery.
