BARTON VIOLIN PULLEYS: FRICTION OR BALL BEARING MODELS
Barton violin pulleys are divided into two types:
- Ball bearing pulleys which reduce friction. They are used for loads where permanent adjustments are required. With this system, adjustments are quick and safe. Use: Mainsheet, genoa, jib; Arm pulley/spinnaker sheet; Mainsheet traveler; Runners
- Friction blocks are pulleys without bearings. They are used for heavy loads in a static position. There is no risk of crushing or deformation of the balls. Use: Mast foot pulley; Mast head pulley (halyard); Boom vang hoist; Backstay pulley; Pole vang
Each of these two types is available in different models: Swivel, Swivel/ringot and Carabiner (Only for ball bearings).
Finally, each model is available in different sizes to best suit your needs.
