AGM MARINE BATTERY 55 AH TO 270 AH MASTERVOLT: POWER AND RELIABILITY FOR YOUR BOAT
The Marine AGM Mastervolt battery is a high-performance, maintenance-free power solution for your boat. Thanks to AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology, the electrolyte is absorbed by the fiberglass, eliminating the need for maintenance and preventing gas release during normal use. This design allows for flexible installation, without the need for ventilation.
POWERFUL STARTING AND LASTING PERFORMANCE
Designed to deliver high intensity quickly, the AGM Mastervolt battery is particularly suitable for starting engines. Its low internal resistance, thanks to fiberglass technology, allows for rapid and efficient discharge. In addition, the use of thicker plates ensures increased battery life, making it compatible with medium cyclic use.
FEATURES AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Their construction allowing a very rapid discharge with a high intensity means that AGM batteries are ideal for uses that require a high amperage (starting engines for example). Their terminals can be unscrewed and this type of battery can be associated with all standard battery terminals.
- Excellent as a starter battery.
- Perfect improvement for acid/lead battery system
- Fiberglass technology offers low internal resistance
- The use of thicker plates increases longevity.
- Compatible with average cyclic use

Remarks
- Charging batteries
- Use a charger with IUoUo characteristic, preferably with temperature compensation
- Recommended charging voltage:
- Equalization charge 14.25V at 25ºC (max. 5 h)
- Maintenance charge 13.80V at 25ºC.
- Max charging current: 30% of nominal capacity C10
- Batteries must be fully recharged regularly (to 100%), at least once a month.
- Discharging batteries
- Regular discharge of more than 50% of nominal capacity should be avoided, as this may affect battery life.
- Avoid total discharge.
- After discharging, recharge the battery without waiting.
- The battery must never be discharged below the discharge limit level. Detailed information can be found in the user guide under "Discharge Limit Level".
- Storing batteries
- Store batteries charged to 100% in a cool place.
- High ambient temperature increases the discharge rate.
You will find detailed information in the user guide under "Storing batteries". - Fully recharge stored batteries when the voltage drops below 12.3 volts.
- Installation
- Recommended tightening torque
- for M8 lugs (batteries from 70 Ah): 14.7 to 19.6 Nm.
- for M6 lugs (55 Ah battery only): 11 to 14.7 Nm.
- Keep a minimum distance of 1cm if the batteries are to be placed side by side.
- Recommended tightening torque
- Conceptual modifications have been made to the 12/130 AGM battery In order to reduce the risk of acid leakage, Mastervolt has increased the height of the terminals on the 12/130 AGM battery.
The external dimensions of the battery remain unchanged. In the new version, the terminals and the upper part of the battery body are at the same height. For this reason, please allow an additional height of 5 to 10 mm to access the terminals or install the cable lugs, fixing screws. The new version has been available on the market since the fourth quarter of 2019.
- In January and March 2020, Mastervolt AGM Batteries were labeled with an incorrect manufacturing and lot code. See the fiche technique. This mislabeling does not affect the quality and performance of these batteries.
