MY-MOB SIMY BEACONS: YOUR SAFETY ALLY AT SEA

The My-MOB beacon is Simy's new "man overboard" distress beacon. It has been developed in partnership with the SNSM and complements the Simy Simy My-AIS beacon.

This Simy My-MOB beacon is the world's smallest distress beacon in its class. It features compact, high-performance electronics and a long-range helical antenna for maximum safety at sea. Once activated, the My-MOB beacon instantly transmits your GPS position and distress status around you.

HOW DOES MY-MOB SIMY WORK?

My-Mob Simy technology alerts other boats within radio range equipped with an AIS receiver, as well as all vessels simply equipped with a marine VHF with DSC "Digital Selective Calling" (channel 70). The CROSS (Centre Régional Opérationnel de Surveillance et de Sauvetage) network, located within radio range of the signal, will also be alerted to your distress, and your position will be transmitted to them to organize rescue operations.

MY-MOB SIMY BEACON, EASY TO INSTALL

Your Simy distress beacon is easy to attach to any lifejacket on the market. For an inflatable lifejacket, you can use the mouthpiece or the plastic strap clip provided. For a buoyancy aid, your beacon will be installed on the outside of the vest. In automatic mode, the Simy beacon is activated immediately when the lifejacket is inflated.

Please note: for manual activation, the SIMY beacon must be activated by the user.
