The Silva 58 Star compass is a compact, bracket-mounted magnetic steering compass designed for motion, speed and optimized for powerboats. The easy mounting of this Silva course compass will allow you to install it in almost any direction: horizontally, vertically or even upside down.
Equipped with a removable bracket, the Silva 58 Star compass can be mounted on almost any boat, including powerboats. With additional mounting brackets, you can move your compass between different boats or to different locations on board.
The 58 Star compass is designed with a built-in deflection compensator , which allows adjustments of up to 40° if the compass is interfered with by another magnetic field. Also, the 12V rose illumination makes the Silva 58 Star suitable for night navigation.
58 STAR COMPASS, SILVA QUALITY
The Swedish brand Silva guarantees a high quality of manufacture as well as a robustness to any test, for an extended life. The outer cap bowl is made of transparent, scratch-resistant acrylic.
The combination of a sapphire jewel bearing and a hardened steel pivot reduces friction for fast, accurate movement and excellent readability.
Silva marine compasses are designed for efficient damping and easy reading. Even when your boat is exposed to rough seas, the gimbal suspension system ensures functionality is never disturbed.
