This Furuno FA70 AIS Transponder is a Class B AIS transceiver designed to improve your navigation safety. This black box system allows you to see and be seen by other vessels, regardless of conditions.

OPERATION AND BENEFITS

The Furuno FA70 AIS Transponder receives navigation data from other AIS-equipped vessels and transmits your own vessel's information, thereby contributing to collision avoidance.

It improves situational awareness, even in poor visibility. Thanks to its 5W power, it ensures fast transmission of information, increasing your visibility. An internal VHF splitter is integrated.

AIS is a communication system that transmits essential information, such as heading, speed, characteristics, GPS position, MMSI number, and vessel name. It allows you to identify and contact surrounding vessels, even those invisible to the naked eye.

For better vigilance and safety during long voyages, the use of an AIS transponder is recommended.

The Furuno FA70 AIS Transponder weighs 0.5 kg and features an internal VHF splitter. Its power supply is 12-24V and it operates on 156-162 MHz frequencies. The transmitter power is 2 W and its dimensions are 177 x 55 x 158 mm. It includes a silent mode with an external on/off switch.
