This Furuno FM4800 GPS & AIS VHF is a marine VHF radio integrating a Class D DSC, a GPS receiver, an AIS receiver, a simplified hailer and an intercom function. Designed to be robust and completely waterproof (IPX7), it is suitable for all types of boats, even those with limited space.

PERFORMANCE AND FEATURES OF THE FM4800 VHF

The Furuno FM4800 GPS & AIS VHF offers a 25W transmitter, an integrated AIS receiver allowing the overlay of AIS targets on Furuno GPS plotters or multifunction displays, and a 72-channel GPS receiver. It supports NMEA0183 and NMEA2000 connections to share GPS, DSC and AIS information.

Thanks to its Class D DSC function, it allows for distress calls and direct calls with programmed MMSI. Connected via NMEA2000, it allows you to initiate a DSC call directly from a multifunction display by selecting the AIS/DSC target.

HAILER, INTERCOM AND "LISTEN BACK" FUNCTION

The Furuno FM4800 GPS & AIS VHF can serve as a hailer with intercom and foghorn, offering 8 different tones to improve safety and communications, especially in fog. With an optional HS-4800 handset, intercom communication between two stations becomes possible.

The "Listen Back" function is ideal for fishing boats, allowing you to detect fish bites through the horn speaker.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND BOX CONTENTS

This VHF radio has 56 channels and a 25W power output. It is IPX7 waterproof and operates with a 12V power supply. It offers NMEA0183/2000 connections.

The box contains a fixed FM4800 VHF, a microphone with a 0.7m cable, and documentation in PDF.
