The VHF FM4850 GPS AIS Black Box Furuno is a complete VHF blackbox integrating a speaker, offering a 5-in-1 solution for marine communication. It combines DSC functions, an AIS receiver, a megaphone, DSC calls, and NMEA0183 and NMEA2000 connections. An optional external GPS antenna can be added to activate the GPS function.

This VHF FM4850 GPS AIS Black Box Furuno is designed to provide clear and reliable communication, with a powerful 25-watt transmitter and an integrated AIS receiver. It allows the sharing of AIS information via NMEA0183 or NMEA2000 networks. Connected via NMEA2000 to a Furuno multifunction display, it allows initiating a DSC call directly from the screen by clicking on the AIS/DSC target.

The VHF FM4850 GPS AIS Black Box Furuno can also function as a megaphone with intercom and foghorn. It has a high-quality megaphone function for clear communication on the deck and in port. With an additional handset connected in a remote station, it can serve as an intercom for communications between stations. The Hail function and the foghorn improve safety and communications on board, with 8 different tones for the foghorn. The Listen Back mode collects external sounds and transmits them to the main speaker, particularly useful for fishing.
