GP170 FURUNO: PROFESSIONAL GPS POSITIONING SYSTEM

GP170 Furuno is a GPS receiver designed to provide reliable and accurate navigation information to AIS, radar, and VDR systems as an EPFS (Electronic Position Fixing System) sensor. It utilizes the SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System) for increased accuracy and offers dual configuration for optimal system availability.

The GP170 Furuno incorporates enhanced noise rejection capabilities, offering an anti-jamming function and high tolerance to multi-path mitigation. Its 10 Hz position update rate ensures constant and precise tracking of vessel position.

The dual configuration of the GP170 Furuno ensures a backup for continuous system availability. Information on waypoints, routes, and other operator-defined data can be shared between the units for functional redundancy.

The GP170 Furuno provides essential navigation information to onboard systems, and its new GPS chip and antenna improve positioning stability and accuracy.

The BAM (Bridge Alert Management) system centralizes alerts on the bridge. The operator can easily navigate through the menus. The GP170 Furuno offers different display modes including plotter, highway, course, and data display. It increases accuracy thanks to the SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System), and DGPS (optional DGPS beacon receiver and GPA-021S antenna required).
